Project Runway is about to meet some gnarly bodysuits, as Entertainment Weekly has exclusively learned that RuPaul's Drag Race season 16 alums Q and Plane Jane have joined the cast of Heidi Klum's fashion competition series.

EW can report that Q, who placed fourth on the 2024 edition of the Emmy-winning drag queen contest, will compete as one of the designers on the upcoming edition of Project Runway, after the drag entertainer received standout praise for her runway creations on the Drag Race Main Stage.

Plane — a Boston-based queen who placed third on season 16 before joining the main cast of E!'s House of Villains show — is also set to appear on the show in an undisclosed capacity.

EW has reached out to Project Runway representatives for comment.

The news of Q and Plane's casting comes after Drag Race season 13 alum Utica competed on Project Runway season 21 last year under real name Ethan Mundt. Mundt ultimately finished the season as the runner-up, and won two main challenges.

In an interview with EW after the season finale, Mundt shared an unaired moment that occurred between himself and guest judge Tyra Banks.

"Tyra had a hard out at 5. She approached the stage and walked down the line, and when she gets to me, she reaches out to give me a hug and my heel falls off the front of the stage. I fall on her, off the stage. She doesn’t fall down, but I fall into her, into her ta-tas. I grab her waist as I’m falling down and catch myself. I was like, 'Tyra, I’m so sorry,'" Mundt revealed.

He continued, "Everyone’s screaming, Heidi’s like 'Oh my God!' Law [Roach] is like, 'Holy s---,' tossing his hair. I was like, 'Oh my God, Tyra, I’m so sorry,' but more importantly, I talk to her boobs. I’m crazy. I’m like, 'But more importantly, I want to apologize to you, too!' She laughed and goes, 'Oh my God, girl, you’re crazy.' I gave her a hug and got back on stage and gave a twirl."

RuPaul's Drag Race queens have branched out into other reality TV franchises in the recent past. Not only did Plane compete on House of Villains' third celebrity-filled season, her Drag Race sister, Kandy Muse, competed on the season 2 cast two years prior.

Drag Race alums have also appeared as contestants on various seasons of the Emmy-winning Peacock competition The Traitors, including Peppermint (season 2), Bob the Drag Queen (season 3), and Monét X Change (season 4).

Q and Plane formed a unique bond on Drag Race season 16, with the latter's on-camera reaction to the former's emotional reveal of her HIV status becoming an instant meme in the fandom.

"Overall, it’s been very positive. You get some people who want to be negative or say something nasty, but just saying that and the people who’ve come up to me and told me that it’s helped them, that made all the difference and made it worth it to me," Q told EW of the impact her reveal had.

On Plane's response, which saw her praise Q by saying, "Mama, kudos for saying that. For spilling," Q added: "Looking back on it, thinking about what she’s saying, for sure it sounds a little funny and weird. But, she was completely sincere in the moment, so we didn’t even think about it being something funny or turned into such a meme.... By that point, bitch, I knew. I’d dealt with all sides of Plane Jane, so, that was the least surprising comment coming out of her mouth."
