It’s not every day that we get a joint sighting of Anya Taylor-Joy and her husband, Malcolm McRae, and it’s even less often that we see the two cuddling up together on the red carpet.

Last night, The Gorge star and her rock star beau attended a pre-Oscars dinner hosted by Dior and W magazine at the Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills, California.

For the occasion, Taylor-Joy chose a white knit maxi dress that was like a patchwork of different patterns, with a plunging scoop neckline and two ribbon-like shoulder straps that were tied into long draping bows that dangled at her sides. At the bottom of the dress, a frilly lace hem grazed the ground.

To complete her look, Taylor-Joy was seen walking into the venue with a black blazer draped over her mesh boho dress, along with white strappy sandals from Aquazzura that blended in perfectly with the design. She also tied her hair back into a tight bun, while accessorizing with tiny silver earring jackets from Tiffany & Co.

The actor arrived hand-in-hand with her husband, who wore a black suit layered over a striped dress shirt and inky tie. As they smiled for the cameras, McRae even wrapped Taylor-Joy in his arms—an unexpected display of PDA from the couple.

The pair have been together since early 2021, and they secretly tied the knot the following spring. Taylor-Joy revealed the details of their nuptials on their wedding anniversary, when she shared an Instagram post that read: “Two years ago, on April Fools, I secretly married my best friend in New Orleans. The magic of that day is ingrained in every cell of my being, forever. Happy second ( first ) anniversary my love…you’re the coolest🫀...”
