Donald Trump & JD Vance Go Full ‘Rick and Morty’ in Bizarre White House Video

The White House is raising eyebrows with a new Rick and Morty-inspired video of Donald Trump. The short clip depicts the president and JD Vance in the show’s animated style, parodying its opening sequence.

The White House posted a video of Donald Trump and JD Vance, depicting them in the animated style of Rick and Morty, parodying the show’s opening sequence. The clip, captioned “Hop in… best dimension yet,” shows the pair in a series of bizarre situations.
The video shows Trump and Vance running across the presidential walk of fame in the White House. They wave at a rally and outrun a red-eyed space dragon in their flying saucer. At one point, border czar Tom Homan arrests an “alien” while Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is revealed to be a robot.
The strange post comes after Dan Harmon, the co-creator of Rick and Morty, talked about his new cartoon President Curtis. He revealed that Trump and Barack Obama served as inspirations for the new series. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Harmon said, “The conversations about Obama and Trump were inevitable.”

The television writer continued, “Curtis has a naïveté that you could overlap with Trump, who is like, ‘I’m an outsider, and I consider this job simple, and I don’t care about the bureaucracy of it.’ On the Obama side, it’s the charmer and the guy who gets organic joy in being liked. That whole rockstar aspect of Obama.”
Additionally, he said, “But mostly just more legendary aspects of presidents from the past, all Serpentor’d into a test tube baby that then becomes our version of maybe Martin Sheen in The West Wing, where it’s our fantasy president, warts and all.”
President Curtis premiered on Adult Swim on July 26. It follows the fictional President Andre Curtis and his staff who handle a variety of bizarre crises.
