'KPop Demon Hunters' stars are 'definitely' making more music

After breaking records and topping charts, it's a matter of when, not if, the voices behind Huntr/X will be back in the studio.
Speaking to reporters backstage at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 11, EJAE confirmed she, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami "definitely" want to make more music together post-"KPop Demon Hunters."
"We're all individually our own songwriters and artists. These two especially are incredible artists themselves," she said. "Nothing's, like, official. But are you kidding? We're friends, and we're definitely going to work on more music together."
Days after news of an upcoming sequel became public, the Netflix animated smash hit snagged two Golden Globe trophies, for best animated film and best original song ("Golden").
"KPop Demon Hunters" stars Adurey Nuna, EJAE and Rei Ami confirmed they're eager to get back in the studio together after accepting the best original song award for "Golden" at the Golden Globes.
When asked about whether the creative team is feeling any pressure with a second "Demon Hunters" film, producer Michelle Wong said they're focusing on celebrating all the accolades coming their way.
"Right now, we're just focusing on the awards season and all of the accolades and support from our fans and our community," Wong said in the press room.
After releasing in June, "KPop Demon Hunters" quickly took on a life of its own, garnering an avid fanbase and becoming the most-watched Netflix film of all time. Fans also couldn't get enough of the soundtrack, quickly rocketing "Golden" into Spotify's 1 billion streams club.
The dance track landed in seventh on Spotify's most-streamed tracks in the world in 2025.
However, this wasn't a story of an overnight success, according to EJAE.
"For a long time, as a kid, I was working for 10 years and [it was] another 10 years of writing, so it was just a long period. But I always felt like hard work didn't pay off for the longest time," the singer/songwriter said backstage at the Globes.
