Over a month after the still-unsolved disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the neighbors of the mother of *Today *anchor Savannah Guthrie are voicing their concerns about the seemingly stalled investigation into the suspected abduction.

Although there have been a few leads in the case — including the recently reported new images that the FBI uncovered from the cameras at Nancy's Catalina Foothills, Ariz., home — neighbors of the 84-year-old say it appears to them as if police activity in the area has quieted down.

"I have not had the police come to speak with me again. I have not seen or heard of investigators at any neighboring properties in a few weeks now," a neighbor who asked to remain anonymous told *Us Weekly** *in a report published Tuesday. "I really don't know what else they are doing."

Nancy went missing on Feb. 1, with authorities quickly ruling the disappearance an abduction. Since the investigation began, there have been breaks in the case such as ransom notes and security footage featuring a masked man tampering with Nancy's doorbell. But the lack of definitive evidence has the community worried that the chance to bring Nancy back to her children alive is dwindling.

According to a report from *ABC News*, the newly recovered images from the motion-activated cameras trained on Guthrie's swimming pool, backyard, and side yard show people in the yard prior to the abduction and police officers afterwards. Unfortunately, there is no footage from the day that Guthrie was taken.

Sheriff gives update on Nancy Guthrie investigation, says authorities believe they know the abductor's motive

In a statement, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said that they "continue to analyze various forms of evidence in the Nancy Guthrie case, including material from laboratories as well as images and videos captured by cameras."

The report came days after the sheriff's department revealed it is looking into a reported internet outage in the area on the night of Nancy's disappearance and considering whether a Wi-Fi jammer was used or if another electrical disruption occurred.

However, Nancy's neighbor told *Us Weekly* that they have not been interviewed about the internet outrage yet. "We thought the police would come by again and ask about that, but they haven't," they added. "I wish they would, because I think people are remembering bits of information like that, and maybe it would help the case."

Last week, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos warned that the unknown suspect "could strike again."

"We believe we know why he did this, and we believe that it was targeted, but we're not 100 percent sure of that, so it'd be silly to tell people, 'Yeah, don't worry about it. You're not his target,'" he said. "Don't think for a moment because it happened to the Guthrie family you're safe. Keep your wits about you."

Despite not having a suspect in custody, Nanos revealed that they know the suspect's motive and are "intentionally withholding" the details. "From day one, we had some strong beliefs about what happened, and those beliefs haven't diminished,” he added.

But Nanos' caution isn't shared with the community members. Nancy's neighbor shared that "ever since the day Nancy went missing, this seemed to be a very specific case."

"We live in a quiet, safe community. This seemed like a targeted, planned scenario," they told *Us Weekly*.

As the search for Nancy continues, her daughter, *Today Show* anchor Savannah, has acknowledged that her mother "may already be gone."

In a video shared to her Instagram on Feb. 24, Savannah said that although she and her siblings, Annie and Camron, continue to fight for their mother's safe return, they've contemplated the bleak reality that Nancy "may be lost."

"We still believe in a miracle, we still believe that she can come home — hope against hope," Savannah said fighting back tears as she added that her family is "aching" for their missing matriarch. "As my sister says, 'We are blowing on the embers of hope.'"
