- “Gisele, who is really into astrology, basically looked into the stars and told Tom, ‘We’re not compatible,’” writes author Lars Anderson.

It seems the stars were not aligned for Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen.

A new book, *Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness*, suggests astrology might have influenced the Brazilian supermodel to leave her Super Bowl champion husband after 13 years of marriage. In March 2022, just weeks after Brady announced his retirement from the NFL, he had a sudden change of heart — and she had enough of him prioritizing football over their relationship.

Around the start of training camp in August, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback was allegedly blindsided by Bündchen, who had “seemed happy,” according to author Lars Anderson.

“Then one day, Gisele, who is really into astrology, basically looked into the stars and told Tom, ‘We’re not compatible,’” an eyewitness close to Brady told Anderson. “And just like that, she was done.”

Anderson points to Bündchen’s horoscope that month in *Cosmopolitan*, a magazine that put her famous face on the cover multiple times.

According to an astrologer, August — Brady’s birth month — would signal a major shift for Cancers like Bündchen: “Honest, raw conversations will be necessary as power struggles and hidden agendas are exposed. This is your opportunity to transform the dynamics in your closest ties.”

Representatives for Brady and Bündchen did not immediately respond to **’s request for comment.

But what ultimately triggered her decision to end their 13-year marriage, wonders Anderson’s source. “Was it the years of feeling like she wasn’t his top priority? That he kept playing when she’d asked him [to] step away? Maybe. Or was there a particular spiritual adviser telling her, ‘Hey, this relationship is bad for you. Get out of it now. Even the stars are telling you that.’ One thing is certain: In no way, shape, or form was this a normal marital breakdown.”

Another person close to the quarterback told Anderson that Brady considered changing his mind yet again and retiring from the NFL in an effort to save his marriage. But he didn’t want to let down his teammates.

“It sure as hell looked like a lost cause anyway,” added the source.

In October 2022, amid rumors of marital strife, Brady and Bündchen announced they had split — and already finalized their divorce.

“The decision to end a marriage is never easy, but we have grown apart,” the supermodel said at the time. “And while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always.”

Weeks later, Bündchen was spotted on vacation with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente. The two welcomed a baby in February 2025 and got married later that year.
