- The "Drop Dead" singer, who is making her *SNL* hosting debut this week, found his note taped to the top of a cabinet.

A seven nation army couldn’t hold Olivia Rodrigo back from finding the secret note that Jack White left in her *Saturday Night Live* dressing room.

The 23-year-old “Drop Dead” singer revealed that she began “tearing apart” her dressing room after receiving a text from the “Icky Thump” rocker announcing that he’d left her a surprise after serving as *SNL*’s musical act in April.

“I love Jack White. He’s like my hero. He’s the coolest guy ever,” Rodrigo said on Thursday’s episode *The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon*, calling White the most “wonderful person” who “always stands up for what’s right.”

The three-time Grammy winner explained that White had previously told her that he planned to leave a letter in her dressing room, but that she didn’t believe that he’d actually go through with it.

“I was like, ‘Ha, ha, OK, fine.’ I feel like I've maybe said that to someone too and never done it,” she told host Jimmy Fallon. “And he sent me a text that [said], ‘Look up’ — like, keep your head up — ‘You're gonna find something.’”

The hunt was on for Rodrigo. “I was tearing apart the *SNL* dressing room,” she said. “I was like taking the ceiling tiles off. I was like, ‘You left me something in here!’”

Fallon revealed that they had footage of Rodrigo’s quest to find White’s letter. In it, the songstress can be seen lifting up ceiling tiles and using her phone to peek into a ceiling fan before finding the envelope taped to the top of a cabinet.

“Oh my God!” she exclaims, before sitting down and opening it up to reveal a yellow flower and a handwritten letter that reads, “Kill it kid. Love, Jack White.”

“Isn't that sweet?” Rodrigo remarked after the clip. “He’s the best. That's my little, like, good luck charm.”

Rodrigo is pulling double duty as the host and musical guest of *Saturday Night Live* this week ahead of the release of her third album, Y*ou Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love*. She previously served as a musical guest on the show in 2021 and 2023.

While sitting down with Fallon, the *High School Musical: the Musical: the Series* actress confirmed that she’ll be playing a new track from the album on the show.

“I’m going to be singing ‘Drop Dead’ and then a brand new one that no one has heard,” she said. To which Fallon replied, “Yes! Cannot wait for that.”
