Warning! Spoilers ahead for Paradise season 2, episode 6.

Action is happening above and below the surface in season 2 of Paradise.

The latest episode, "Jane" — which premiered March 16 on Hulu — tells the backstory of Jane Driscoll (Nicole Brydon Bloom), a secret service agent who switches between sweet and psychotic, as she ruthlessly enacts a larger plan down in the bunker.

"Jane is an enigma and we definitely get some answers and then a lot of things remain unanswered," Bloom said about the episode during a February 2026 interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Mysteries remain, and some characters go to drastic measures as they attempt to open the doors of the bunker from within, and return to the world up above.

Here's the ending of Paradise season 2, episode 6, explained.

Are Xavier and Teri reunited?

Yes, at long last, Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) finds Teri Collins (Enuka Okuma)— but viewers aren't able to witness their reunion just yet.

Earlier, Gary Jones (Cameron Britton) told Xavier that a traveling entourage of survivors took Teri. In response, Xavier makes a homemade explosive he intends to set off, so he can cause a distraction and rescue Teri.

In "Jane," Xavier strings a wire connected to the bomb around the survivors' train. Xavier then puts Gary on lookout, but Gary sabotages his plan, and ignites the explosive early. Still, Xavier manages to throw the bomb and the blast knocks him down.

As he comes to, he sees the members of the militia running toward him. Teri is seen pushing through the crowd with Xavier looking up at her.

With that, the episode's credits roll.

Who or what is Alex?

The mystery of who or what Alex is not solved.

In the season 2 premiere, it was revealed that Link (Thomas Doherty) and his group of survivors are headed to the bunker to stop someone/something named Alex.

A scene in "Jane" shows Gabriela Torabi (Sarah Shahi), therapist and friend of Samantha Redmond (Julianne Nicholson), going through the audio transcripts of her therapy sessions with Samantha, searching for the word "Alex."

Initially, she finds a back-and-forth where Gabriela and Sam argue over whether the host of Jeopardy! is "Alex" or "Alec" Trebek.

Another mention of "Alex" she locates in the transcripts is of Sam saying something ominous, telling Gabby, "I've done something terrible."

"I crossed the line no person should cross, but Alex is our only chance," Sam tells her. "I'm afraid of the person I'm becoming, Gabby. I'm afraid of the person I'm going to have to be in order to save them."

Do Link and his militia make it inside the bunker?

Link and his militia are stationed outside of the bunker, still waiting to be let in.

Samantha tells Jane that she will meet with Link and his men, but she sends Jane outside by herself to negotiate the terms.

Later, above ground, Jane meets Link's group, and holds one of the members hostage, demanding to talk to Link.

Jane and Link negotiate the terms of the meeting between him and Samantha, which involves a slice of apple pie, something Link misses from the before times.

Jane lets Link's man free, and heads back to the bunker to tell Samantha that they are willing to meet.

Does Jeremy open the bunker?

Jeremy Bradford (Charlie Evans), the son of former President Cal Bradford (James Marsden), remains in the secret prison below the subterranean city.

In the detention center, Jeremy previously met Anders (Erik Svedberg-Zelman), the architect of the bunker, and he told Anders about wanting to open the bunker.

In "Jane," Anders explains to Jeremy, "You can't just bust open the doors of this place. It's a fortress."

But Anders does reveal that if the oxygen supply is shut off, all of the doors in Paradise "automatically open."

With the help of Nicole Robinson (Krys Marshall), a secret service agent who is imprisoned with them, Jeremy and Anders open a manhole, that will lead to an emergency control room where they can shut off the bunker's oxygen.
