- The 27-year-old, who had worked as a model for major fashion brands, died of a suspected overdose.

- Gerber’s death is still under investigation.

Presley Gerber has been cremated, according to his death certificate, per TMZ.

The 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber died of a suspected overdose Sept. 20 during a stint at a rehab facility in Santa Monica, Calif.

The outlet noted that the certificate says the cause of death is still pending investigation.

The Gerber family, which also includes *The Shards* actress Kaia Gerber, is said to be making arrangements for a funeral within the next week. Presley’s ashes will reportedly be kept at his parents’ home in Malibu.

A representative for the Crawford-Gerber family told ** when Presley died that “the family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”

Like his mother and sister, Presley was a model. At 15, he signed his first modeling contract with IMG, then sported clothes for brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Dolce & Gabbana.

He was arrested Jan. 2, 2019, and later charged with driving under the influence. He pleaded no contest in court and was sentenced to three years probation, community service, and a DUI program.

The younger Gerber had been open about his struggle with his substance abuse, depression, and mental health in general, and he stepped back from the runway to deal with the issue in the late 2010s. He said in a February 2023 interview on the *Studio 22 Podcast* that he hoped to help others with what he had experienced.

“That’s what I really want to do — help people get out of whether you’re depressed [or] struggling with something that’s having a negative effect on your body,” Presley said. “What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for some other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made.”

Presley’s former girlfriend Charlotte D’Alessio, who dated him from about 2018 to 2020, posted throwback photos and videos of them together the day after he died.

“Shared a pure love with you & for that I thank & honor your life,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. “You deserved more time. You deserved more life. Very angry [about] this.”

She added, “Love u Pres. Up there, down here. Don’t ever doubt that. We all love you so much. I hope you can feel it.”
