Happy Birthday, Princess Charlotte! The royal turned 11 years old today (May 2) and to celebrate, the Prince and Princess of Wales gave us a candid glimpse into their family life with a new portrait and video of their daughter.

In the new photo, Charlotte stood in a bed of delicate white flowers, surrounded by lush greenery as she smiled into the camera. She looked more like her mom than ever, with her long brown hair falling effortlessly, framing her face. As for her outfit, she wore a Princess Kate classic: a preppy striped crewneck sweater and jeans. This particular knit, in alternating shades of deep navy blue and red, was layered over a light-blue collared shirt—altogether contrasting nicely against the surrounding nature.

A couple of hours later, the royal family shared a video, too, thanking everyone for “the lovely birthday messages for Princess Charlotte.” In the montage, the birthday girl can be seen with their new dog, Otto, who just so happened to have celebrated his own birthday yesterday. Charlotte held the puppy on a family boat ride, before playing on the beach—writing messages in the sand with seashells, running barefoot, and throwing a ball.

Charlotte was born in 2015, nearly two years after her older brother, Prince George—who will turn 13 this July. The siblings’ younger brother, Louis, joined the family a few years later, in April of 2018. He recently celebrated his 8th birthday, adding another festivity to the royal springtime calendar. (If that wasn’t enough, William and Kate also marked 15 years of marriage just days ago.)
