Sandra Bullock’s sister Gesine shared a rare childhood photo to celebrate the actress’ 62nd birthday

Gesine, a bestselling author and pastry chef, previously worked as president of Bullock’s production company Fortis Films

Sandra Bullock is getting plenty of birthday love, including from her little sister.

The Oscar-winning actress turned 62 on Sunday, July 26, and her younger sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado, marked the occasion by sharing a rare childhood photo of the Practical Magic star on Instagram.

The sweet sepia-toned portrait shows a young Sandra smiling as she cradles baby Gesine in her arms, missing her two front teeth and wearing a classic school dress with her signature dark hair falling to her shoulders.

“Happy birthday to the best Schwester. Love you more, @sandrabullock,” Gesine, 56, captioned the nostalgic snap. (“Schwester” is the German word for “sister.”)

While Sandra is one of Hollywood’s most recognizable leading ladies thanks to films including Speed, Miss Congeniality and The Blind Side, her younger sister has carved out an impressive career of her own.

Gesine previously served as president of Bullock’s production company, Fortis Films, before pursuing a career in food. She is now a bestselling author, pastry chef and television personality, and frequently shares glimpses of her life, including her close relationship with her famous sister, on social media.

Sandra has previously opened up about turning 60 while wishing her friend Hoda Kotb a happy 60th birthday in August 2024, just a week after she hit the milestone birthday herself.

“I had so many brilliant and funny things prepared for you for this message that were just going to slay, but you know girl, I’m just too tired,” Bullock said in a sweet video message.

“I’m tired because I had to make my way up that mountain before you got there so I could check out the terrain and see what things look like, and just get the feel so I can fill you in. And it’s weird because people seem to want us to be afraid of what it might look like when we get there. Turns out it’s pretty damn great,” continued Bullock. “It’s pretty awesome.”

Bullock will soon return to the silver screen in the highly anticipated Practical Magic 2, reprising her beloved role as Sally Owens alongside Nicole Kidman. The sequel to the 1998 cult favorite also stars Joey King and Maisie Williams as Sally’s daughters.

Practical Magic 2 releases in theaters on Sept. 11.
